Church Assessment Seminar  Church Assessment Seminar is one of the seminars to be offered during the Annual Pastoral Evangelism Council. It will provide pastors and denominational leaders who consult with local churches the tools needed to do an effective assessment of a pastor and congregation, its health, readiness for growth and impact on the local community. We need pre-registration to prepare a set of materials for each person who participates.

Instructor for this workshop will be Monte Sahlin, who recently agreed to direct a research program for the BCBLC. He is director of research and special projects for the Ohio Conference and served for more than 20 years at the North American Division and then as vice president of the Columbia Union Metropolitan Ministry. he teaches courses on assessment, community organizing, resource development and community development in the MA in urban studies program at the Tony Campolo Graduate School Eastern University, and a course on field research for ministry in the Doctor of Ministry program at Andrews University. He is the author of "Mission in Metropolis" and "Understanding Your Community," as well as 20 other books and more than 50 research monographs.
